Here’s a much better picture of one completed block for Jared Takes a Wife. I really like this color combination. Ever since Orange Crush, I’m really attracted to orange and purple. Here’s a much better picture of one completed block for Jared Takes a Wife. I really like this color combination. Next I put together 4 QAYG string blocks using pieced batting remnants and a really ugly backing I bought simply because it was really ugly and it was half off. This has been in my stash for a couple years and I knew someday I would find a use for it. The block in the lower right is the backing and shows how the stitiching will look. I decided to make this horizontal strips instead of diagonal. I envision alternating them to give a basket effect. We’ll see.
Now, I’m going to move on to another UFO. The Chicken Challenge from Quilts Your Way. The instructions for putting the blocks together have been posted for awhile now and I think I’ll try to figure out this layout. All my blocks are made so I’ll play on my wall for a bit.
That’s about all the energy I have this weekend. I have to get ready for my trip to San Diego on Wednesday. I’m taking my two grandkids to Legoland. It’s their Easter break this week and I know we will have a lot of fun. So no sewing in my immediate future.
