I finished my March UFO for Judy’s Challenge. I actually put the last stitch in the binding on Sunday, but I’ve been too busy to post it. Here’s a pic of the finished quilt. I really like how it turned out.
This is the Strip Twist pattern from Bonnie’s quiltville.com site. It’s a free pattern. I made this about half the size of Bonnie’s pattern. It is 58″ square.
Here’s the back. I used 10″ squares that I read about on Bonnie’s blog. I’m not crazy about this for the back. Too many seams to make sure lie flat.
Now back to work on January’s UFO. With any luck at all, I’ll get it done before December. LOL.
Love it!!! I like the backing too – I didn’t think about all the extra seams tho!

Great finish Karen! I too am still working on my January UFO. Lots of hand embroidery (too many letters) that I am not crazy about doing. Maybe I’ll get it done this year, maybe not. Wish you were coming to Cincinnati with us.

Very nice! I like the Strip Twist pattern too, but I’m with you on the pieced squares for the back–too many seams!

LOVe your scrappy quilt–and putting the squares on the back makes it a reversible quilt! Good job!

Looks great! (I’ve been contemplating piecing one of my backs like that–and it’s a large (queen) size. Sounds like that wouldn’t be a smart idea.) Congrats on a lovely finish!
